The only thing I will say about this is that the media does world wide searches to put this gore porn in front of us. This is unusual, not the norm. And the putting every awful thing it can dredge up in front of our faces is why I don't do any news outlets at all any more. I am not saying that tragic awful things of every imaginable sort is not happening all over our world. I am just saying that the putting it front of our faces, eating it, digesting it daily should be severely rationed if we intend to live life with/of any normalcy at all.
Definitely Alva, it can be so addicting. I have times I watch too much news and then I have to detox again. Most of the time I skim through the headlines on my phone, to see if anything important happened, and that satisfy my curiosity.
They all brain wash you though. If they don't like one political person they will always put the ugliest pictures of them. And then the best pics of the one they do like.
I would think the 26yr old will be brought up on charges, maybe jail time for attempted murder and the loss of her licence and job.
This is one person. And to go off on a person like that, there has to be some mental thing going on. The aide could have walked out of the room. A picture is not always 1000 words.
This sounds like a mental breakdown to me. Either that or they hired a criminal.
We have just been discussing such things on AC--how close to breaking we can be driven. This is complete and utter breakdown if this isn't criminal behavior.
I agree it's good there were cameras. I am one of those who is more for cameras than not. When I see how much more easily they can, in the UK, identify criminal behavior I believe that we as humans, while we may not like the invasion of privacy, NEED it at this point.
I know it is the old person's litany, and I am now very guilty of it, but I believe we are seeing societal breakdown.
I am not certain whether we are deteriorating or if it is just that, with media being what it is they are going to search out every aberration out there and put it up for our watching on CNN/MSN/FOX over and over and over and over again-- we are now WITNESSING WHAT ONCE WAS HIDDEN.
We are deteriorating as a society , as well as or because of the failures for people and goverment to look at the whole picture . More and more narrow views cause division. The days of “ one for all and all for one “ are LOOONG GONE.
We failed the mentally ill and their families and are now failing the elderly who need care and their families who either try to do the hands on caregiving themselves or try to advocate for their LO’s in care .
Government leaders having too much to say about medical issues , tying the hands of and silencing doctor’s recommendations etc . As well as greedy for profit care , cost conscious insurance companies and donut holes in the system , creating understaffing resulting in inadequate care . It’s no wonder healthcare workers snap , quit , and commit suicide .
Social media and the ways the news outlets report for ratings just makes it worse.
I just saw the video on the news. I’d bet the facility will be sued for having such an awful employee, not supervising or vetting her better. Just horrible. And cue the “all managed care places are terrible” crew on the forum in 3, 2, 1…….

Did they give any followup on this?
