This is one of the most often asked question - and for good reason. Many of us quit work and can take better care of our parents for less money than Medicaid would have to pay a nursing home or than the family would have to pay for in-home care. However, our system is not yet very good. (Where's the Social Security for all those years you dont "work" even if you do get paid in some way?).
