YOU CAN GET PAID FROM THE STATE BUT SOME STATES HAS GUIDELINES FOR YOU SOME WILL TELL YOU THAT THE CLIENTS HAS BE A CERTAIN AGE IN ORDER FOR YOU TO GET PAID AND SOME WILL TELL YOU, YOU CAN ONLY GET PAID FOR SOME MANY HOURS SO LOOK INTO YOUR STATE AND THEY WILL DEFINTELY TELL YOU HERE IN KANSAS YOU CAN GET PAID BUT THE CLIENT HAS BE 75 AND UNDER AND THEN IF THEY QUAILIFIE ITS ONLY FOR 4 HRS

Hey Twiggy,

Good luck on getting money for caring for your mother from the state. Maybe through Medicare or disability.

Best Wishes,
Bill

I'm sorry...I know that it is tough to find any information on getting paid. Whether you can get paid or not depends on your caring situation and where you reside.

For more info read this article on getting paid, it can help guide you in the right direction:

and visit this section of AgingCare to read more articles like this:
