Carers with disabilities face persecution from the Carer Support Groups.

It happened to me. During those nine dreadful years of having to cope, alone with Mum's dementia --- the family doctor --- and all the other Carer Support Groups in South Australia refused to give me any support --- just because I have a disability.

Many disabled carers here in south Australia are so desperate for getting their demented parents into care, they are committing crime so they can go to jail - then their parents get put into care where they get the proper care they need

I am so sorry to hear that this is what happens in South Australia.

Knowing what you know now, have you any advice for others taking care of a parent in Austrailia?
