Thank you for this reminder. We always looked at our neighbors,, if the smoke was coming out we knew she was OK. Then it wasn;t it.. luckily saw her daughter at her house.. said she couldn;t get the furnance going! They took her to their house at this time. But luckily she has electric too
My daughter is in Houston and the "surprises" are already happening. She didn't lose power but did lose water. She sent me a picture of her sister in laws house. It looked horrendous.
My cousin runs a plumbing business in Dallas and we were discussing the issues of water pipes freezing. People there are in for an ugly surprise once the pipes thaw out, which will be probably a day or 2 or 3 after the 33F+ weather comes back. He's going to be so busy they won't know where to start. ugh, feel bad for them and 4 to 8 more inches of snow on the way apparently.
