Why stop a persons lifetime of satisfying their "wants" and "have to decisions"?
After satisfying all of "how to help" and every effort was great. "When all else does not work". The is a "time to live and a time to die". A hospice chaplain can help to have "peace". Let a chaplain do his or hers "job".
You have spent a lifetime in satisfying your wants and "needs to do". When you go into the hospital you want to "get fixed". If you want to die...meet the person where they are and determine if it is legitimate and if not help them to correct this want to die by anyone of the above interventions. If your into always want to "fix" you will discover when there is no other response and "want to die" is still there...listen and help them with that "want".
Based on previous posts, I think OP is saying that there is a point that people need hospice and that the chaplain is there to bring peace to the dying and support the LOs emotional needs so use the service.
I think this is a response to this post.
