Leave yourself an out.

I'm a member of a private club that won't let anyone near it they don't know

I have avoided legal responsibility

I'm not power of attorney

Norma does not have any assets

I'm well off financially

The cabin we live in is totally mine

I know I'm being used by her and her family

If things get too bad I can leave Norma with her family and run off

The club will let me stay for a day of a lifetime and it is very secure

This sort of reminds me of a situation that I got in when I was young

I can shut down my cabin and come back later when things cool off

It makes the situation easier when you have a way out

I was in an old WWII plane at an airshow one of the 4 engines caught fire in flight. I had a parachute and I used it. Ps the fire was put out and the plane landed safely without me in it

If you have all of these outs why are you asking for help. Use one of your outs.

So if you have this 'out', and if you're 'well off financially', why are you writing another post asking 'I'm being used, what should I do?'

I'm interested in the WWII plane. With 4 engines, I'm guessing it was a bomber? B-24, 25, 29, 17?

Head for that club! It’s your parachute, I get it. If you’re saying that Norma will land safely without you, you’re probably right. Adios, Norma! Good luck and happy landings to you.

The cabin was bought with my separate funds this is well documented she won't get very far and she will take major losses if she tries

Tommyg,
Your post prompts me to comment that Norma may have other ideas about whether or not you are her caregiver.
At your ages, she may think that she is your caregiver, and aware that you need one. Maybe you are both delusional (no evidence to the contrary).
You say that you have avoided legal responsibility. Are you sure, after living together as a possible common law couple in Texas?
Isn't she entitled to have a part ownership of the cabin?

This is not WWII, not an airshow, and you are too old to jump from an airplane.

What does Norma have to say on this topic?
