I would like to add my big bear hugs to all of you, too! Was wondering about the new hep C treatments, too. Have you started them yet? Could you please tell me more about this? I went through treatment in 2006 for about 2 1/2 years, then, stopped. I heard there were new advances. If you don't mind, I would really appreciate it. You can send me a hug if you want more privacy. Thanks a bunch, Captain! blou
S - A is pure of heart and sweet. shes just ( probably ) never came to get attention in the welding shop only to have her hair entrapped in the bench vise. dont underestimate us older folks. we live inside our own minds and our range markers are faded and no longer visible. ( unless your looking for them and were not. we smeared mud on them so you cant see them.. funnin ya S - A ..
but i like old hens. every youthful kid in this country is under the impression they invented sex. poor disilusioned little twirps. theyd call the cops on us old timers if they witnesses our humorous threats and mutual sexual " violence " ..
I am giving myself a big hug tonight... my daughter took the parents to Atlantic City for one ( or please god two) nights!! The hubs and I are not doing anything different.. just enjoying being by ourselves for a night!! And I ran around to shops and such without worrying about Anything!!! The parents are no bother, but some time to ourselves is pretty darn nice! Now if only the in laws don't "pop by" LOL
Boni you're so kind... I too want to hug you all. When I found this site I was clueless about caregiving someone with dementia and felt sooo alone.. I've learned so much from my AC friends and could not have survived without your knowledge..
It has been beneficial for me to learn through others experiences.
"Strong people don't put others down.....they lift them up" XOXO
Boni, I'm so glad to see you bounce right back to the "you" that I'm so used to reading. I was worried there for a minute. {{Hugs}}
captain, I remember reading about your mom and felt compelled to respond to you. When my mom passed away, I, too, went back and read the private messages sent to me via my Wall. Yesterday, I went back to my old avatar, and those Hugs/Comments are gone from my wall. I'm just so glad that I copied and pasted it to my file, and transferred it to my CD and flashdrives.
HUGS are always nice - as long as the words are, too. {{{{{ HUGS to You ALL ! }}}
Captain, yes, huge congrats on the treatment being approved! Sweet! :)
Just knowing that people who get what I'm dealing with are a click away is a huge relief, so thank God for this site. Everyone else's stories, emotions and feelings help me to remember that I'm not crazy. At least, not TOO crazy.. :)
captain, I'm glad to hear about your treatment being approved. Big hug to you: ((((((captain))))))
And thanks you guys for letting me participate here almost a year after my dad died. This website was a godsend when he lived with me and as we went through the stages leading up to his death. So yeah, I'd like to get in on this group hug. For everyone:
i sure appreciate this group. everyone on here seems ready to comfort someone whos hurting even as they themselves are facing exasperating circumstances. i was just reading my hugbook history back to the point of my mothers final days. people were sure kind and the messages were as genuine as anything ive ever seen. were not trained nurses, we struggle..
"drunk a** boni probly botched supper and is trying to draw attention away from the cooking thread."

Now THAT was funny! Love your smart@ss humor captain and YOUR good sense of humor Boni. My husband wondered what I was laughing about and I told him it's too 'inside baseball' to explain. He'd look at me like I had three heads.
Love you guys for the humor and a laugh!
So here's my ((((HUG))) to everyone along on this bumpy ride.
My BIL did ribavirin and interferon ten years ago. It worked, the hep C has been undetectable since. Have hope. Aunt Edna needs you to stick around. Boni: either this is a good idea or we are all affected by the full moon. I'm really not sure which. Thanks for the GH
Bob, you made me laugh so hard I spit my diet coke all over my screen! YES, I am high as a kite on kindness and love. So sue me. I will be Praying/sending positive vibes for your HepC treatments. (((((((BOB))))))
