I found Avilo Care Services to be very responsive and professional. My mother is 91. She is not impaired with any dementia or Alzheimer's, but she is frail and was recovering from pneumonia, congestive heart failure and c-diff when she came to stay with us. She had lost weight and was having trouble walking because she was so weak from losing weight and being in bed. Avilo caregivers were with us three and a half months and it worked out very well. My mother recovered enough to go back to her home. Because there is not often very much lead time when you're arranging care for a loved one, Avril came herself to help out until her staff could join us since my husband and I work. We primarily had two very sweet and conscientious home health aides. We mostly communicated with each other by me leaving instructions each day. We texted, as well. It was important for me to be very clear regarding instructions for each week. From meal preparation to changing bed linens, helping my mother shower, etc., they did anything I asked them to do as well as anything my mother asked them to do. I think it was important to be specific because my mother had dietary considerations as well as food preferences. They definitely wanted to please. I felt confident that she was in good hands, and over time, my mother got stronger. This would not have happened any other way. If / when my mother has to be with us again, I would not hesitate for a moment and will contact Avilo to provide care.

My name is Paul and on January 7, 2019, I was operated on for rotator cuff surgery. I reached out for assistance prior to the surgery to Avilo Care ; Mrs. Avril met with me before the operation . She interviewed me and inspected my home to make sure my needs would be taken care of properly . She was an asset to me as well as her husband who also assisted me many times. She drove me to and from the hospital for the operation and prepared meals for me that I could not prepare myself. She assisted me nightly with the ice machine I had to use which was very difficult for me to set up. She helped me bathe and do laundry and make the bed and clean where necessary . She drove me to my post operation doctor visit and got all the medications for me. The energy she and her husband exhibited and the time and care put forth to assist me in my dire need was impeccable. I was in great hands!! I couldn’t have been blessed more. I definitely would recommend this agency to anyone who wants great care and assistance and compassion . If an emergency came up, she was there to help me as well as her husband.
