B’Zoe Home Caregiving Services was founded by Prossie Lockett, who immigrated to the United States from Uganda. Although she worked in the embassy, she opted to leave her home due to many reasons, including genocide, in a neighboring country. Once arriving in the U.S., she worked continuously to support her young family, before having the opportunity to launch B’Zoe Home Caregiving Services in Bellevue, Washington.
Prossie’s first client truly became, for all intents and purposes, family. “Grandma Betty” needed companionship in her senior years, and Prossie felt drawn to serve her. Eventually, Prossie handled 24-hour care for the woman she and her family, quickly grew to love. This experience opened the door for Prossie to see precisely what quality in-home caregiving meant, not only to Betty, but also to Betty’s entire family.
Today, our mission at B’Zoe reflects Prossie’s commitment to provide seniors and those who need additional help in-home care in a loving, respectful and responsible way. That means, we require every member of our team to act in an ethical, safe and professional manner, while we do all that we can to help seniors remain in their own homes, for as long as possible and to keep every client comfortable.
Every caregiver completes an extensive training program, which includes one-on-one instruction with a registered nurse, and we conduct extensive background checks and ongoing drug screenings to ensure those we work with can feel confident in the person who is in their home with them.
