Our high standards also require all Caregivers to be currently certified in CPR and First Aid.
All of our Caregivers are W-2 employees of the company (not contract) so we pay all payroll taxes and they are covered by our liability and worker’s comp insurance policies. Our agency also has a rigorous staff screening process which includes extensive background checks and drug testing.

I contacted Golden Heart Senior Care after my 84-year-old mother suffered several medical issues, including a spinal fracture, that made it difficult for my parents to continue to live in their home without additional help. While my mother was in a rehab facility, Brendy and Mary met with me and my father to discuss care for her when she was able to return home. They also met with my mother prior to a caregiver being chosen. They were very concerned that the right person should be with her while she recovered at home. They also explained the requirements their employees must fulfill to be hired. This alleviated many concerns I had with having a stranger come into my parent's home. My mother has also very much appreciated having someone with her who was able to help her during times a family member was not able to. As my mother recovered, Mary was always available whenever any changes in care needed to be discussed and worked quickly to implement them. My mother's physical and mental recovery has been remarkable, much due to her own hard work and perseverance, but also due to having a great team to support her. I would highly recommend their services.

I was referred to Golden Heart Senior Care of Troy by a family member. I contacted them about providing in- home service for my 93 year old mother who is still living in her home. They provided extensive information over the phone. They set up a speedy appointment with me at my convenience at my mom’s home. Brendy and Michelle both came to the appointment. It was extremely informative. They met my mom and offered some safety tips for me. We discussed my concerns and came up with a plan to implement in-home services right away. I felt safe and completely confident using their services. I felt much less anxious about my mom being in her home and would not hesitate to add more hours as needed. My mom has some dementia issues, is hard of hearing, but physically still in pretty good shape. I met my mother’s care giver, and I think she is fabulous!
