I believe that Griswold home care is a very caring outfit. I spoke with Bruce the manager and a nurse. They came to the house and we talked and I explained what we needed to care for my mother. They brought in a very nice woman named Susan to care for my mother around the clock. She is very knowledgeable and instantly made up feel relief knowing our mother was in capable hands.

I honestly do not know what I would have done without Griswold Home Care. I had an emergency and was 3 hours away. I needed around the clock care for both parents. One in the hospital and one in assisted living. It was taken care of immediately and with wonderful women who are taking great care of my darling parents. I’m able to do the things I need to do, knowing that they are safe and cared for. Bruce is fantastic and stayed with my Mother in the hospital until I could make the trip. (At least 4 hours) He also bought flowers and her favorite candy. The girls also brought things for them to eat when they refused other food. They all have been a blessing in this very emotional and trying time.

I contacted Griswold Home Care to assist with my mother who needed help after her unexpected surgery. We needed someone to be with her the next day. After doing a lot of checking around, I found them to be the most affordable, which was important since mom is on a fixed income. I was very impressed with prompt response and how concerned and helpful the caregiver was. The caregiver has gone above and beyond to help mom. Being out of state, I have appreciated Mr. McReynolds (the director) calling and giving me updates on how mom is doing. That has been a big relief. Griswold Home Care has been a blessing.

I hired Griswold Home Care for myself. I was certainly pleased with all the services they provided during my 5 weeks of home recovery for my broken ankle. Both caregivers who worked with me were extremely helpful with housework, yard work and shopping. They did not waste a moment when they came to help. It is good to know that Griswold is available. If I have to have more surgery I will certainly be back in touch.

Our parents, have recently transitioned from Griswold home care into assisted living due to our father's failing health. My sister and I want you to know that our caregiver was a phenomenal care provider and companion for our parents. Due the care she provided, our parents' lives were much enhanced and she enabled them to stay in their home safely for several more years. Over the last year that same high level of care continued. Some additional high-lights from this year: Our father dealt with cancer, the caregiver found ways to meet his daily needs, and kept us informed of my father’s declining health and emerging needs. She also helped our mother deal with his illness by being supportive of her needs and concerns. Since we lived out of state, her open and honest communication of subtle to major changes enabled us to adjust faster to their quickly changing needs. After our father's colon cancer surgery, the caregiver showed good leadership when she handled the coordination of extra care providers. This provided consistency in our parents’ care. Once the decision was made that my parents needed to move to assisted living, she helped them prepare for the transition both emotionally and physically. Our family has been truly blessed.

We are using Griswold Home Care for my father. The overall experience is just fabulous. They come out and spend time with us which was a main reason why we decided to hire them. They took their time to send the right caretaker for what we needed. They sent someone out to meet with us which was great to meet beforehand. Even the billing and management is easy and fine. I met with the Director, who was caring, compassionate and professional. Our assigned caregiver was an excellent match. They answered all my many questions and offered additional information. Our daytime nurse Anita was incredible! She was a real joy to have helped us and felt like a part of the family while she was with us. After my mom passed Bruce even came to her memorial service. He came up and expressed his sympathies. She very much wanted to spend her remaining time in her home and not an assisted living facility. We were at the point where we needed around the clock care. Griswold Home Care offered whatever we needed for my husband -- like bathing, toileting, dressing, and cooking breakfast and lunch. Our caregiver comes 3 times a week for 6 hours. I researched home care services online, sent a few emails out and Bruce with Griswold Home Care was the first to respond, within 24 hours. It began with him following up with a phone call and then scheduled a meeting the next morning with me and my mother. Bruce was patient, gentle and a genuine man which was important. Even though my mother is currently under Hospice care he was magnificent with her because she gets very easily confused and off track. After the meeting we had settled on a plan and he left to find us a good match. Unfortunately, by the afternoon, my mother had changed her mind and we had to change our plan for her ongoing care. Bruce was gracious and even offered some resources outside of his own business. He truly was a class act from beginning to end. Once she is settled in her facility, we will use Bruce's team for visits and company for her. Looking forward to working with this group!
