Paul and Lori Hogan founded Home Instead, Inc. in 1994 in Omaha, Nebraska. Paul's own family experience caring for his grandmother led him to realize many families could use the help of an in-home caregiver. He and Lori set about creating a company to help seniors to live independently at home. That mission still drives the company and its franchise network today.
Home Instead, Inc. began franchising in 1995. Today, the Home Instead® network has grown to include more than 1,200 franchises around the world. While our franchise network is international, our office is local. And to us, home care is personal.

We have been fortunate to have George with Home Instead Kailua care for our loved one several times a week this past year. He is a gentleman who consistently brings good cheer. He enjoys cooking and has made many excellent meals for her. We are also very comfortable having him drive Myrna to go shopping and other interesting, scenic, and enjoyable outings. When I came across an announcement for the Orchid Society Show at King Intermediate, he took her, and they had a fabulous time. Myrna loves flowers and is growing roses, orchids, hibiscus, herbs, and many other plants. George helps her to manage them nicely in addition to his regular duties. Thank you, Home Instead Kailua, for George.

Home Instead Senior Care has been a God send for our family. Patti has been so amazing and such a tremendous blessing. I can tell that she truly cares about my father, she's not just simply doing a job - I feel like she's treating my father like her own family. She takes him to pick up lunch, for walks, she purchased house slippers for him because she noticed his had holes in them, and she's started taking him to his doctor's appointments when she can and that has helped us SO much! In the very beginning, my father, who has dementia, was very against having someone come into his house and he kept telling us we were "wasting our money". But, now I can tell that he trusts her and even looks forward to when he knows she's coming.
