Proud owners Rebecca and Tim Bodor, of Homewatch CareGivers of Loudoun, are natives of Northern Virginia and its surrounding communities. We have enjoyed raising our family here and taking advantage of all that this area has to offer. I made the decision to be involved in work that provided a meaningful service and a way to give back to our community.
Both Tim and I have experienced the struggles of finding the right home care for our families. In the early 1990’s, Tim’s mother had the challenge of a husband with dementia. At that time, she felt there were no other options other than to put him in an institution. Ten years later while we were living abroad, Tim’s mother faced another challenge of having to struggle with cancer on her own, unable to find adequate in home care before she passed away.
I came into this business not only as an owner, but as a client. My parents, both in their mid-eighties, have started to face the very difficult decisions that need to be made regarding aging and their care. After my father had a stroke, these decisions became more urgent. The vast amount of information and resources out there can be overwhelming! I have experienced the emotional toll this takes on a family and I understand the difficult task of choosing care for the people you love. I believe my personal experiences give me a unique understanding in how to provide a better service to our clients.
Our guiding principle is to provide our clients with the kind of service that we would want for our own families. I understand how it feels to bring someone into your home when there is a need for professional care, and we make every effort to match our clients with the right caregiver. We strive to give our caregivers a great place to work, where they feel valued and part of our extended family. By doing so, we know our caregivers will extend those feelings to our clients.

My dad was very pleased with Homewatch and his caregiver – she was very helpful and pleasant and he said he would be happy to see her again, which is saying a lot since he fights me all the time about having someone come in! We would definitely use her in the future! I think the leg wraps were a bit confusing at first but they got the rhythm down. This is my first experience using a caregiving agency. My daughter found HomeWatch on Yelp and liked the reviews. She hounded me to call and give them a chance. The thought of bringing a complete stranger into my home was not something I would take easily to. However, as the sole caregiver, I knew I needed relief, so I made the calls. I asked the questions, voiced my concerns, wrote down each and every response, called again and asked more questions until I finally made a decision; to give HomeWatch a try. From my first contact with HomeWatch I was pleasantly surprised. I was immediately directed to the owners of the agency. Both were knowledgeable and professional and not only answered my questions but calmed my concerns. They clearly had the experience I wanted, but I still had concerns about how the caregivers would work out and how my wife would take to them. I have now used HomeWatch for a few months. We transitioned from having several temporary caregivers to the present excellent permanent caregiver whom my wife really enjoys to be with. They walk, talk, exercise, visit the mall, go shopping, go out to lunch, etc, and appear to be having fun. What a relief that is for me! With my job I occasionally have to travel. I now feel fully confident that my wife is being well cared for while I am away from my home, whether it be for a few hours or a couple of days. I recommend HomeWatch to anyone reading this!

My wife had an acute stroke in September and I started using Homewatch care givers on December 5, 2016, the same day I terminated another provider that failed to meet our needs and expectations. I called Homewatch and the owners responded quickly and efficiently to my requests. They understood my needs and worked diligently to fill those needs. The initial start of service was with temporary care givers, to fill the void created by my termination of the other company. With only a couple of minor changes, in the starting line-up, they quickly filled all of the required time slots with permanent care givers. It was a Thursday. I called this Homewatch Caregivers of Sterling that same day and spoke with Tim who took the time to speak to me at length on that very same Thursday late evening. Immediately I was put at ease by how Tim described to me their process and what they could offer me and my family, particularly my Dad. As this was the first time we were going to be utilizing personal care services for care of a family member after surgery, we all were a bit nervous as to how it would work out and also because our home was not particularly accessible or friendly for someone who would be quite disabled for the next many weeks. After hanging up with Tim I felt completely comfortable with how things were going to proceed for the next few days. This really helped me and my family to care for my Dad without the stress of having to organize the paperwork and the tension that comes along with getting post surgery/at-home services set up -- along with everything else! They did their very best to get someone to our home the very next day after we spoke & I still can't believe how fast they made everything work out! I was impressed with the level of care their personal caregivers provided, and was very happy with how they took care of my Dad. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.
