President and CEO of Interim HealthCare of Irvine, Khushbu Dadlani, has spent the past 10 years caring for and educating preschool children. Faced with the challenges of caring for her own parents-in-law, Khushbu’s kind-hearted nature led her to a realization: just as she had for her own family, Khushbu wanted to provide quality services to seniors from the comfort of their own homes. Here is Khushbu’s story of conviction...
“While settled back-in India, I was faced with the reality of caring for my elderly father-in-law, who had developed multiple chronic health problems. With a small child and a busy husband often overseas for work, I needed help, fast! As caregiving was not an organized industry where we lived, it was incredibly difficult to find anyone reliable, and unfortunately, after a long referral process, the caregiver we received was not formally trained or equipped to provide the proper care my father-in-law needed.
Speaking with family and friends here in the US, I found they were facing the exact same challenges. I started to ponder, why was it so difficult to find qualified caregivers we could trust. And that was it. The seed had been planted. I had enough fire in my heart to make a change and start my own caregiving business.
Where we are today...
Although Interim HealthCare of Irvine is family owned, we are backed by Interim HealthCare®, the nation's oldest leading home care company, founded in 1966. When I learned about Interim’s HomeLife Enrichment® program for seniors, I knew it was something I had to be a part of.
It is my strong conviction that the home environment in which older people live has to do a lot with staying healthy and independent. The quality of life our local seniors experience depends mainly on the choices they, or their children make regarding their care. At Interim HealthCare of Irvine, it is our promise to deliver that care with security, stability, comfort and psychological nurturing. At the very forefront, we are dedicated to the enrichment of human life.”
