At Senior Helpers, we are dedicated to providing unwavering support in every way possible—no task is too big or too small.
I’m Supriya Kulkarni, the proud owner of Senior Helpers of Waxhaw-Monroe, with 25 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist. My passion for senior care comes from a deeply personal place—navigating the challenges of securing 24-hour care for my ailing mother in India. That experience showed me firsthand how invaluable quality in-home care can be. It allowed my father to support my mother without feeling overwhelmed and gave me peace of mind, even from thousands of miles away. Determined to make a difference, I transitioned to Home Health, focusing on senior safety. I earned an Executive Certification in Home Modification Consultancy to help prevent falls, reduce hospitalizations, and promote aging in place. As a certified dementia care provider, I also saw how seniors with cognitive challenges, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, thrive best in familiar surroundings with the right support. Through my work, I recognized critical gaps in senior care—home health aides provide only limited assistance, and therapy visits are too brief to meet ongoing needs. This realization drove me to the Home Care space, where I am committed to providing compassionate, personalized support that empowers seniors to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes.
At Senior Helpers of Waxhaw-Monroe, we are proud to be a 5-star rated, 24/7 concierge home care service, committed to being your trusted partner in senior care. Our mission is to provide exceptional in-home support that fosters trust, security, and peace of mind for seniors and their families. We set a high standard for our caregivers—each must have a minimum of three years of experience in home care, pass a thorough background check, and undergo ongoing training led by a certified industry expert. Our caregivers receive hands-on training in our Center of Excellence, a studio-like space within our office designed to simulate real home environments. This allows them to identify safety hazards and develop the skills needed to help seniors maintain their independence at home. Our caregivers also engage in meaningful activities with the seniors on day to day basis using our Quality of Life Planner.
We have NO MINIMUMS as it pertains to hours or number of shifts per week. We offer Flex-Home program with 30mins a day visits for safety checks and medication reminders, making us the most affordable provider in the market. We start with a free assessment process called Life Profile that looks at day to day activities and environmental risks to determine client’s risk for rehospitalization. Based on the data from the assessment we are able to provide the right amount of care, not more or less. Our assessment will show you how the number of hours we recommend will reduce the risk for your loved one.
We can also help with financial assistance (initiating a LONG TERM CARE INSURANCE claim, navigating VETERAN AID, using Medicare B GUIDE Program for those with Dementia, if applicable) in an effort to assist as many families as possible.
In addition to Companion care and Personal care services, we have a flex home program designed just for those clients who require peace of mind for mom and dad, whether it is doing a safety check or making sure medications are taken on time. Our return to home program is designed for those returning home from hospitalization or short term rehab stays. We collaborate with renowned Occupational Therapist and Cognitive disease expert Teepa Snow to train all our caregivers in Senior Gems® program. This gives us an edge in Dementia and Alzheimer’s care. We have another proprietary program for Parkinson’s Disease Care.
No matter the need, we are here for you. Reach out today to learn how we can support you and your loved ones.
