Acknowledgment of Disclosures and Authorization
By proceeding, I agree that I understand the following disclosures:
I. How We Work in Washington. Based on your preferences, we provide you with information about one or more of our contracted senior living providers ("Participating Communities") and provide your Senior Living Care Information to Participating Communities. It is your sole responsibility to select the appropriate care for yourself or your loved one. We work with both you and the Participating Communities in your search. We do not permit our Advisors to have an ownership interest in Participating Communities.
II. How We Are Paid. We do not charge you any fee – we are paid by the Participating Communities. Some Participating Communities pay us a percentage of the first month's standard rate for the rent and care services you select. We invoice these fees after the senior moves in.
III. When We Tour. APFM tours certain Participating Communities in Washington (typically more in metropolitan areas than in rural areas.) During the 12 month period prior to December 31, 2017, we toured 86.2% of Participating Communities with capacity for 20 or more residents.

The tech fix unexpectedly took down the whole site. Needless to say, this has not been our favorite Monday. We've rolled back the fix, so at least the site is back up. We're still trying to resolve the 504 issue on the profile pages.
I've had problems in the past with some sites due to the crap that follows you around on the web but I've adjusted my settings to delete cookies and history whenever I close my browser (Firefox) throughout the day so it's not related to that.
I usually enter through newsfeed. But it still drives me nuts. If I want to catch up on a thread I will go to that thread. I DO NOT need to see every response on a thread in my newsfeed. Sometimes there have been 8-10 posts in a row in my newsfeed from the same thread. And when there are so many the comments are often the same, just stated a bit differently.. Sometimes the comments have become arguments between posters which I really do not care to read the play by play.
Sorry, admin, many of us have made this complaint numerous times and some like it the way it is. Isn't there a way to allow us the choice of whether we want to see each post to a thread or not? For me it would be "not".
Before this was changed, we would see all different threads in the newsfeed with the number of new comments since I had last posted. Sure made it easier to keep up with a thread than the hunting to see if I can find that post from awhile ago to follow-up if I wanted.
You make a good point Glad. Way too many Newsfeed notifications from the same thread. Maybe all the notifications from the Newsfeed has overwhelmed the server. Too much traffic due to this feature. (just speculating here.)
There must have been a change recently, (maybe just before the maintenance shutdown) that allows so many notifications coming through daily.
I am going to try picking where I want to read from my activity page.
Hi all, The good news- We have a fix to roll out. This optimization to the database should resolve the newsfeed and profile page issues. The bad news- this will involve temporarily having our Sites, Portals and tools down for up to 5 minutes. This will occur within the next hour. If you have created any lengthy messages or posts- save or publish them as soon as possible. I will re-post when the update is complete in case you miss it!
The site has been giving me errors last night and again tonight. I don't believe these issues have been resolved at all, unfortunately. I'm lucky to be able to post, or like a comment, log on or do much of anything here the past two days.

Or, would that make it worse?
Will it help to refresh our browsers?
I just clicked on Newsfeed, it took awhile (about 15 seconds), but did actually load just now.
Seems we can still navigate to this thread, and a few others.
So, at least we can communicate.
You are right, it is frustrating.
Maybe more for those of us who stay up late.
I watched a movie today on Netflix.

Thank you for your time, effort and this site.
So glad that the AgingCare IT team is working on the website issues.
I cannot get mine to work anymore.
Going to sleep soon.

Feeling relieved and hopeful.
