Is there any way that you can find out if your dad had an estate attorney? Does anyone have POA? (I gather not, but had to ask). If you don't have any clues, just start digging through his papers and figure out his bank, etc. Then, you may want to see an estate attorney to help get a Power of Attorney drawn up and signed before you dad is incapable on understanding that he needs someone to do this for him. If he is past that point, you will still need to see an attorney about what to do so you can pay his bills and handle his finances. Good luck. This is why we all need to do the legal work early. Please check back and let us know how you do. Carol
