This is a common problem for many. If you belong to AARP you can get in on group rates. You may want to look into that. Hopefully, others will have some input, too. Carol
I just went through the whole process after my husband died. My daughter has her insurance through American Medical Security. She was the only one who qualified. My son and I are on a state plan because we each had pre-existing conditions. I would do a goggle search for your state and see what is available. I applied for several plans but was denied. Oh Lizzie I do feel for you. If I were you I would contact a major insurance carrier such as Blue Cross. I would hope they could help steer you in the right direction. I have a high deductible and only a pharmacy discount card, but most important is I have coverage. I live in Utah, but I'm sure whatever state you are in will have some kind of plan for the insurability. From what I was told you have to be denied before you qualify for state coverage.
