Allaboutfamily, It would help immensely if we knew a little more about the person you are caring for. Age? Any major medical issues? How indpendent is your relative? Are they oriented or confused? Do they need 24 hr care or just supervision or something inbetween? Do they live alone? With you? In an assisted living facility? This site will help you very greatly-there are many vetern caregivers here mostly grown children taking care of parents also a few caring for spouses as I was until this summer when my husband died . It is so good to be able to share experiences and help each other I come back here a lot because I made such great friends and hope my experiences will help others, sometimes we just need to vent and put down our thoughts-that alone can be important
