Are there any local organizations or insurance companies that can help with repairs to my elderly mother's home?

Ginny, not sure where you are located, but the only thing I've ever heard of is "Christmas in April". I think that's the old name though, "Rebuilding Together" is the new one. It's based on income, I believe, and level of repair. It's an organization that asks for local businesses for volunteers to do all sorts of repairs. All in one day, they come to your home and fix just about EVERYTHING!
