Can you visit in "off peak" hours when the rest of the horde has gone home? Sit with him quietly, speak to him, play soft music? We do not know how much a loved one hears in their last days. It is shameful that your family is fighting with each other over his bed.
sorry, I must have not done it right because I didn't see a box to explain my question. I have a rather large family and my grandpa is in hospice care with only days left. They are fighting over which meds to give-how often and how much-and fighting over silly trivial issues (like which pillows to use). I don't want to be in the middle of their spat--I believe it is disrespectful-- but I can't even visit my grandpa without hearing it. Any kind suggestions?
