Where can I find an affordable, or free, granny cam?

None that I know of. You could call your Alzheimer's Association and ask if they know of any help. Good luck.

I still don't know why nobody has really produced an elder-specific cam or even Skype video device that is uber-simplified for elders. Anyway, the next best thing on-the-shelves these days are baby monitors.

Let us know some of your needs and we'll try to suggest. Ie. do you want access from another house via internet, or just the tv in the living room to see that granddad is alright in his room?
