I am going to be required to give up my job to care for my mother and I entitled for her to pay me. Is this fair?

can you take a leave from your job rather than resigning??? If you can become her cedac provider (government term) you can be paid. I do not think you should look at this as to whether it is fair or not, it just is. If you do not want to care for your Mother try to get some homecare help from an agency. If she requires 24/7 care check with the local nursing homes or assisted living. My parents are almost 86 and 83 and I help them. Most of the time I am thankful I still have them. Mom can be unreasonable and she likes to push my buttons.
