My 94 year old mother needs full-time care and our care giver only works 5 days a week. What are our other options for care when all our resources are exhausted for the other two days?
You may be getting to a point where you can't handle home care anymore. Don't let guilt destroy you. Look around for the best nursing home you can find and support her all the way.
If that just isn't an option, then go to your state Web site under aging services of something similar and look for local support (you should do this anyway). You may have a block nurse program in your area or some other respite care. An additional agency can provide weekend workers if the money is there. But you may be at the end of your abilities to care for her in this setting.

Take care of yourselves, too.
