My mom is Agitated all of the time and never wants to do anything. Her doctor gave her Paxil, but it doesn't seem to be working. She seems more agitated than before. Is this common?

My Mother does the same thing and she is 96. It is very upsetting, but I have finally come to realize that she can't help it. I have to train myself to just change the subject or find an excuse to leave. It does no good to try to reason with her.
