Do all nursing homes have someone come in from an outside source to do bloodwork on the residents?

I think they do because usually the nurses are busy with meds and running the units and that is not a bad thing you do not want an overworked nurse doing blood draws the tech who work for a company or lab do this all day long and are experts at it where I worked a nurse was allowed to stick a pt. 3 times before they had someone else do it-I refused to do that if I knew I could not get it I would warm soak the area and then if I still did not think I could do it would have someone else but if you are the only one on a unit you have to keep trying-has there been a problem I think you might be the person who had a bad experience with someone from outside doing blood work-if this is true you have the right not to have that person do the blood work the next time.
