Do I need to send a Power of Attorney to Social Security and Medicare for my mom to get her bills and mail sent to me?
I have already done banking and AARP medical She has moved to an assisted living out of her state and I am having her mail transferred to me (POA) If so, how do I go about this
I gather the move from NJ to Ohio has taken place.
Yes, you need to send a copy of your durable POA to social security and medicaid for her mail from them to go to you. Have you needed to move her bank account? Does her social security money come by mail or is it automatically deposited in her bank account?
Does this answer your question? There should be a social worker at the assisted living place to help with matters like this.
