I think the answer to this question is "most likely", but how it comes depends on the state you live in. In Virginia it is through Medicaid. In Massachusetts it is through MassHealth. Check with your local social services office -medicaid division and ask them. There are also city and state run elder services that will pay a small stipend. Check with your local department of elder services.
