Is there a guide (book or brochure) that can help me deal with caregiving for my mother who is two miles away in a skilled living facility?

Is she in a nursing home or assistive living if she is in a nursing home either she is paying or medicaide is paying for her care so the staff should be doing the personal care and PT .
