Should I convience my mother to move in with me even thoigh she wants to live at home?

My mom has fronotemperal dementia and wants to live at home. I want her to live with me because I live 2 hrs away from her and I am her primary care giver. She can't afford a 24/7 caregiver but does not want to move. I have been staying with her 2 wks and then home with my husband 3 weeks does anyone have any advice on getting her to move in with us,

Gerald before you decide to move your mom in with you, you should read some of the post on this site of people who have made this decision and are dealing with it right now. Weigh the pro's and con's and evaluate the situation them do what is best.

Some say it's the best thing they could have done, others say it's the worse.

Those types of decisions are always very hard to make. Our parents do not want to lose their independence and will fight that to the depths. Most times we have to just grit our teeth and take control, without letting them know that we're taking control.

The most important thing is to make sure they feel wanted, and needed without making them feel helpless.

I hope this helps.
