Is there a deadline to transfer assets and gift if your parent is going to a rest home?
before the state of NC count this as asset,

In most states it is 5 yr, becaues medicaide has a 5 yr. look back period but to be sure go to an elder lawyer in your county he will be up on the rules for your area,
