How do I become a guardian or caregiver? I am thinking of a career change.

Many (and maybe all, I'm not sure) states regulate guardians. In my state (FL) you have to take a course, pass a test, and hold a state license and be bonded. You then have to have continuing education credits. There is a national association of guardians, as well as state organizations. That is probably the best place for you to start.

I am 56 years old, not married, and have no children of my own. I moved recently to St George, Utah to find a job, although I have not been successful. I was a Reservation Agent for an airline for 21 years. I have love and compassion for others, I have 2 little Dachshunds I love and still care for. I live near the "A Gentle Touch" and have a friend Paige, who lives next door to me. She has advised me that your company may be willing to hire me to help care or sit with an elderly, whom I would adore and love to do. Please email me it you may show interest in me. Thank You
