Has anyone heard of this? My Mother is unable to fully empty her bladder and her doctor has her remaining with a foley cath, possibly permanently. Anyone have any experience with this situation. I am hoping there is a way to get her bladder working again. Any advice? Questions I should be asking, etc?

She has dementia, and tries to empty it herself (she is now in assisted living) and doesn't put the cap back on tight. So there is leakage into her shoe, which creates an odor. So I'm constantly having to figure out how to correct this, buying her shoes, spraying them. She would be mortified if she knew about the odor. :(
