Can the adult child still pay for the assisted living facility while the parent is on Medicaid?

I would assume they could, but you should check with the Medicaid people to be sure. Medicaid is federally funded, but states have some say in things.

Assisted living facilities are private pay. Families can supplement the charges that are not covered under Medicaid.
