My mom was just diagnosed wtih frontal tempural dementia. Are there medications for this to taper the progression?

she has lived with me from arizon the passed 6 mths along with my husband and my 6 yr old son. I am having a social worker out this week to talk about respite. I work fulltime and I need help. NO family nearby and my brother has basically shut her out. any suggestions.
