How do I get financial assistance for being my mother's caregiver 24/7?

Wow. No-one answered this yet? Well, check with your state medicaid office. If your state has a program, you can become a licensed home health aide (or even a nurse assistant) after state approved training. In my state, a family member can be paid for care as a Individual Provider. Doesn't pay a hill of beans tho'.... But anything is better than nothing, IMO. I went from a $75K/year job to ... well pratically nothing to care for my Mother full time 24/7. Its a sacrifice on every level (and this is my only source of income) and I've burned through my own retirement and savings. I understand the cost in caring for a loved one is not only emotional, but financial as well. I had to "catch" up my Mothers bills and pay off a few. I also forked out a hefty sum for some medical supplies not covered by Medicare/Medicaid. Lordy, this is the toughest thing I've ever done in my life... but well worth it.
