Are there any laws against my grandmother refusing treatment?

lesliecobb Feb 2011
I don't think you can force anyone to take treatments or medacines. She is still a adult and can do what she wants.
You can tell them that you want them too and why. My mama is all confused with Alzhiemers and says that pills will make you batty even the ones she alwayus took for blood preshure. So I have to tell her that God wants her to be well and it is not her time to go. Peple from chruch come by and hlep with her and tell her same thing so she stays safe. But if your granma isnt religious folk it won't work for you to talk her up that way.
I think it's the same phrase like you can lead the horse to water but can't make em drink it you know?
I hope you can get hr to change her mind if she insnsits that her time is to go with our Lord. Is sher terminal and in pain or on hospice becuase if hse is on hospice you should talk to them on how to make sure she is all comfotable.
Good luck.
Big hugs.
