Its time to bring home "helpful" underwear. Buy her the Assurance underwear or something similar. She can not help losing her ability to control her urine flow. Take her to the doctor first to see if she has a bladder infection. There is a medication, Vesicare, that reduces flow at night. I hope this helps you .
It also could be depression or maybe dementia, alzheimers or heck even a Urinary Tract Infection in the older generation seems to make them act different than normal. Since you have noticed a change in her bahevior it would be good to take her to the Doctors and get checked out.
My father is 88 and sleeps just as much. I asked his dr about it and said there was nothing wrong physically, most likely just boredom. Unfortunately, at these ages, most seniors are not mobile and their vision and hearing is impaired. Ironically, my dad seems to be up a lot during the night and sleep throughout the day. He tends to snack all night long! It wouldnt hurt to ask the doctor anyway.
