My mom gets Medicare only. Is there anything else out there to help care for her during the day?
Mom came to live with me in Oct. She receives medicare only. I use all of her remianing check $ over 500. per month for aide. Is there anything else out there to care for her during the day? Thank You Toni
Hi Tonis, You may want to check your state website. Type "aging" in the search box. Look for your state's version of the National Family Cargiver Support Program. These people would likely have some good local information for you. Also, depending on where you live, there may be a block nurse program or RSVP Senior companions. You could try calling your local social services agencies and ask for direction (I'd look for non-profit ones, first). They can be very helpful. Good luck, Carol
