How do I help my mother give me financial and medical Power of Attorney?

cath did you tell mom that this paper work can be drawn up now and it wont go into effect till she is unable to answer for herself. That is how we had ours drawn up. And she signed it right away knowing this. And it was a good thing because she ended up declining in her mental health and we could take right over for her.

good luck! I've been trying, with no success, to get my mother to sign one. she says she isn't ready. I had her dr. bring it up, she likes him a lot, and she still won't.
