I think my client need 24hrs care,I have been working same Client 76 w/f whom had Stroke 2 years ago. She is getting much better now then first time when I met her, but a year ago she experience to another mild stroke.....since then I started work 24hrs for 4days a week, other 3days are another caregiver. I do pretty much everything most home care service that agency provide. but I do meds management... prepare for every week.
My concern is her daughter and my client think, they do not need 24hrs care anymore....just needs 12hrs, it's mean she will be by herself 8pm to 8am. She is incontinent, and hate to take a bath(only once a week) I help and keep her smell NICE!!
I have been doing this type work over 20years, I could tell her mobility are still weak,I'm afraid when she wants go to bathroom by herself or sometime she is forgetful. I understand patients right. Her daughter thinks she should stay by herself that make her more independent....I told her daughter to contact Mom's Dr or PT.... Please someone tell me what do you think about this matter?
