I should have added that if someone is on hospice (which is through Medicare), they will pay for diapers, gloves, perineal wash and protective cream, but not wipes. That is a huge help!
Medicare helps for items that are non disposable such as walkers, wheelchairs, beds. Unfortunately most things that are disposable: depends, dressings, etc are not paid for. If you parent has a specific disease: Alzheimers, Parkinson's, you might contact the local chapter for assistance. Sometimes family will donate items to the local hospice agencies and they will maintain "closets" of items that other families will use. Hope you can find some help.
