How come we as humans end up as specimens. my mom had no more blood to give.What can we do about this.Why should we live a productive life to end up on a bed looking at the ceiling.
I told my mom in rehab nursing home,"please get better so I can get you home"she answered"and then what"...............
There has got to be a better way.

I, too, question why the end of life seems to be without meaning or dignity. And our medical system needs serious revamping in regard to helping the elderly until that day comes. Caregivers are so busy caring for family on their own that they have no time to be a son or daughter and enjoy those final days.
My personal belief is that it helps us cast off earthly things in order to prepare us for the next life.
I am so sorry for your loss. But please know that you took good care of your Mom and she knew it.
