Thank you so much everyone! What really got me to thinking abou this was the Facebook connection...they are all on FB. I'm going to keep this great secret to myself...I need this. Thanks again...have a wonderful week.
I concur. I worry sometimes if a family member would find this they'd know who I was, and I'd hear back for all the crap I complain about..You know stuff No one else has to deal with. So screw em!
Tell them if they think they can do a better job, why arent they even doing their share? Its easy for those that should be helping but arent to be critical of those who are giving so much unselfishly. So, tell them to buzz off.
I would not tell them but if they already know about there is not much you can do except not to post for awhile and they will probably get tired of looking and maybe you can use another name or just not let it bother you-you have every right to come here for support and also help other if they bring it up you can refuse to discuss it with them this is such a good way to communicate with others in the same boat and the benefits are tremendous.
I understand what you're saying. When I first landed on this site I told my sister-in-law about it since we were both looking after our mother-in-law. The first thing I noticed was that she corrected me when I put our mother-in-law's age down. I thought, what? who cares if I was off a year? I love my sis-in-law but I don't want to be corrected, I don't want to have her tell me that's not how it really is because she sees it differently, this is my thing. I know you get 'it' right? Although I never mentioned it to her, I believe she's since moved off this site because now my husband and I are the ones taking care of his mother mainly, so that's fine. So I get 'it' this is your thing, not theirs. You don't want every little thing that you talk about on this website, being bantered around in the family. I get it.
