Where can I find the best disposable briefs for my elderly loved one?
Dad can't make it to the toilet in time, thus I am always washing, washing, washing...sheets, clothes, carpet, etc. What is the most comfortable, cost effective "brief" that you know of?
There is a new brief called "wellness brief" that uses the same technology as NASA does for what the astronauts wear. I have them. They are blue, strong and thick, yet not bulky. They hold 3X more fluid that a 'regular brief like Depends. (My Hospice was most impressed with them). Bought on Amazon by the case of 60 they were about $1.15 per brief. Via wellnessbrief website the case ships free.
I stopped using the Depends/Attends etc type brief some time ago as they were not doing the job. They are cheapest at around .90 (Amazon) but NOT the brief needed for a serious incontience problem. I researched and found Abena Abri Flex a best seller in Europe. Compared to depends there IS no comparison. Soft, strong, and absorbent. But they cost more and must be ordered. I went through Amazon (I have free shipping with them) and paid about $1.68 per brief.
