If the family member you are taking care of qualifies for Medicaid, there are some programs that will compensate you a caregiver fee per hour to care for your loved one. Some of these programs are through local home health agencies. Contact your county department on aging, they can give you more information.
I am currently in FMLA without pay. I've been taking care of my mom due to a surgery. In which I do everything for her at this time. Is there a government program that I can go to, that would pay me for the time I've been out of work?
Hi Misshapham, By saying "provider" are you referring to billing her insurance? Or would it be your Mother paying for private care by your brother? I don't think anyone can help you with the right information unless you be more specific. It would also be important to say what your Mothers condition and diagnosis is.
