Does a revocable trust protective the assets from a 5 year look back?

Probably not, but there may be some trusts, in some states, where it does. You'll need to have an expert in trusts and Medicaid examine the type of trust and the laws of the state where you live.

My mother lives in Virginia. The elder care attorney that I used said the trust has to be irrevocable.
