I am married, deaf, and a senior citizen. Is there a device that vibrates letting me know if my wife falls?

She doesn't sleep in the same bed as me and I am active around the house. This activity keeps me out of her presence often. I need a two-way device where she can press a button if she falls and my end will vibrate to alert me that she has fallen.

I've been in the market for a medical alert system for my mom and came across one that lights up to alert someone elsewhere in the house of a fall or medical emergency. Although I haven't purchased the system yet, it's at the top of my list because it provides both visual and audible indication. Something like that might help give you peace of mind. If you're interested in this particular one, it's called the BOB 3600 by critical signals technologies. You can order it online if you think it will help:

My mother lives with my brother and his wife, both who are totally deaf. We need a device (es) that will cause their bed to vibrate or lights to go on in their room if my mother tries to get out of bed alone at night or chair during the day. Can mats be converted for this?

I just got my dad a device that would solve half of your problem. The medical alert we bought from 5th generation care, is a talking pendant that dad now wears. If he falls he simply pushes the button and emergency response monitoring center talks directly to her. Asks what's going on and alerts the proper help.

In your situation this device may cover both your problems. When you are home and when you are away. Either way if your wife falls the monitoring company will contact you or the ambulance and your wife is taken care of.

I'm assuming you have a vibrating phone now.

Did you try the medic alert companies?
We have a camera in each room and can see my Mother from a computer anyplace else. Maybe a Nannycam (baby cameras), you can put in her bedroom, and watch your bedroom for at night at least. Or maybe she can hold a remote which she could blink a light? Best of luck to you, wish I could help.
