Believe me, even in asst. living they can make a mess in the bathroom. Only difference there, is that someone else cleans it up. That is if they tell someone they made a mess before housekeeping comes in sometime that week.
It may be time for some assistance, but whether that has to be in an ALF or could be provided in their own home is an open question.
If these eleders wouldn't accept help bathing, would they accept moving to an ALF? Are they legally competent to decide this for themselves? Any dementia or other mental illness present?
